What does the gold challenge mean?
If you send us at least three grams of gold, we will pay you for the value of your gold plus an additional $20. If you do not like what we have paid for your gold, just let us know and we will return your items, but the $20 bonus is yours to keep.
What conditions apply to the gold challenge?
In order to receive the $20 bonus, we must receive your 3 grams of gold items back within 20 days from the day you request your kit.
Only one $20 bonus will be paid per household. A household is defined as an individual address with a street address, apartment number, city, state and zip code.
How soon will I have my kit?
We will put your gold kit in the mail within one business day of your signing up online and you will have it within 5 days.
What is fine gold?
Fine gold is pure gold. Gold is generally 10, 12, 14, 18, 22 or 24 karat gold; each of these contains pure gold in different amounts. We accept all of these forms of gold.
What is (How much) three grams of gold?
Three grams of fine gold is a small amount of gold. A piece of 10 karat gold jewelry that weighs about the same as a quarter coin will contain three grams of pure gold.
How much is three grams of gold worth?
We typically pay about $20 for three grams of gold.
What is considered one household?
The same specific home address – a street address, apartment number, city, state and zip code.
What happens if I send you silver or platinum, can I still get the bonus?
This is our "Gold Challenge" and the bonus is for 3 grams of gold. If you send us other precious metals, we will assess their value and send you a check. If you are unhappy with the amount for any reason, we will return your items, no questions asked.
What happens if I don’t want to accept your payout for my items?
We will send you a check which includes the payout plus the bonus. If you are unhappy with the payout, return the check to us within 10 days of the date on the check, and we will send your items back along with a check for $20, just for trying our service.
What happens if I do not have at least three grams of pure or fine gold?
We will still accept the items and send you a check, but you will not qualify for the $20 bonus.
How safe is the process?

The package is insured up to $500 from the moment it leaves your hands. Once we receive your kit, we carefully record everything you sent. Then our professionals appraise your items using our state of the art valuation equipment. Within 48 hours of the appraisal we will process your check.
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the amount you receive, just contact our customer service department and we will return all of your items. The packet that we send you explains all of the details and provides you a customer service number to call where a specialist can answer any questions or concerns that you have.

What will I be paid?
The price of gold and other precious metals changes every day. We calculate your payout based on the price of gold the day we appraise your items. We cannot provide you an exact price for your gold right now because we have to assess your items professionally to determine the actual weight and karat and do not know what the price of gold will be on the day we receive your items.

How does the process work?
Your MyGoldEnvelope G-PAK will arrive at the address you have provided in a standard business envelope. And the process is as simple as 1, 2, 3.
(1) You send us your items in our postage paid insured envelope.
(2) We assess your items using our state of the art valuation equipment.
(3) And we send you a check.
How will I know you received my G-PAK?
Each MyGoldEnvelope G-PAK is uniquely tracked; it has a U.S. Postal Service tracking number which allows you to see when your kit is delivered by visiting www.usps.com or you can call our customers service department and they can track your package for you. If you give us your email address we will send you a confirmation email of when your kit arrives at our refinery.
How long does the entire process take?
The end to end process generally takes one to two weeks. Your postage paid and insured MyGoldEnvelope G-PAK travels by US Postal Service, which could take up to 3-4 days depending upon where you live. Typically we appraise items within 48 hours of receiving them and a check is cut by the next day. We then mail the check to you which can take 3 to 4 days to travel back to you.
What if the MyGoldEnvelope G-PAK is too small to hold all of my items?
Simply call our customer service department at 1-800-973-3996, and one of our representatives will make special arrangements for an additional free kit to be sent out to you.
What types of gold objects do you accept?
We accept all forms of gold in the following Karats: 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 22, 24. We also accept Silver, Platinum, and Palladium. We even accept Dental Gold.
What if I'm not sure something is made of gold?
We can only accept real gold. We do not accept gold filled, gold plated, or gold leaf items, often called costume jewelry. If the items are real gold, they will possess a quality mark. By United States law, a "k" mark representing karat must appear on the back of an authentic gold piece, along with the manufacturer's trademark and country of origin to guarantee the authenticity of the gold. If the item is marked GF, it is gold filled, not real gold, and we would not pay for that item.
Do you accept items with Gemstones?
We accept gold or precious metal jewelry set with gemstones, but we do not pay for the gemstones, and you will not get them back. So, PLEASE remove all stones.
